Christians have citizenship in heaven. Although we live in this world and have natural citizenship with our respective countries, we must not lose sight of where our first citizenship is from.
We are God’s people with full citizenship in His kingdom who live temporarily on earth.
Like our Father, we live in heaven but work on earth. We have the permission to use our contacts in heaven to influence conditions here on earth!!
As citizens of heaven, we have access to:
• The Father. The creator and ultimate owner of both heaven and earth is our Father. We are related to Him by blood — the blood of Christ Jesus our Lord. We are part of the Father’s family. He loves us without any reservation. The Father watches out for us and seeks to lavish His love on us.
• Heavenly riches. We have access to all the riches of the Father — His presence and power. For every need we have, there is provision made for us in heavenly places which we can draw on to use here on earth. In our heavenly home, there are no shortages. The Father has enough for each one of His children and is able to supply all of our needs without any shortfall.
 • Angelic support. We have access to the military forces of our kingdom — the angels. When we face tough battles here on earth, we can petition the Father to send us help from above. The angel of the Lord surrounds our dwelling places and keeps guard over us by day and night.
With such citizenship privileges, why do we limit ourselves to the shortages of our earthly nations?

Life is Short, Heaven is Forever…
For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever. (1 John 2:16-17)
